Mr Sawin started scouts in 1995, in troop 274. He had been in cub scouts (pack 572) before that because he had friends that did cub scouts. He joined boy scouts because he had some he really enjoyed cub scouts and wanted to keep going. Mr Sawin earned his legal rank at 16, and the favorite thing he learned was life saving. The favorite thing he ever did was the mont high adventure camp which was 10 days of backpacking. Some important life skills he learned in scouts is public speaking and not being so shy. While in scouts Mr Sawin has done the leader ship positions of quartermaster, senior patrol leader, crew leader assistant, scout master, scribe, junior scout master, patrol leader. The most challenging thing he ever did in scouts was getting his life gaurd certificate. All In all Mr Sawin said he has enjoyed his scouting and will continue enjoying it.
